Last weekend my fiancée, Josh, and I headed down to Pinnacles National Monument for some hiking and outdoor climbing. For those that don't know, Pinnacles National Monument is half of an ancient volcano near the San Andreas fault line. Where's the other half? Down in southern California, near Los Angeles. Movement along the San Andreas fault split the volcano, and left the remnants a couple hundred miles apart. What's left in the northern section is a moonscape of pillars, crags and spires....
As in much of California, the wildflowers are also out in force this time of year.
Lizards abound in Pinnacles.

Welcome to the official blog of Erin Lang Photography. I'm Erin, and I'm a just-about-everything-out-there photographer-- weddings, families, portraits, pets, events, travel and general freelance-- based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I thought I'd share a bit of what I'm working on, personally and professionally, and sometimes randomly, so take a look around and get to know me better!
